REDECAN is the cooperative board of the population-based Spanish cancer registries of Albacete, Asturias, Canarias, Comunidad Valenciana, Cuenca, Ciudad Real, Girona, Granada, La Rioja, Mallorca, Murcia, Navarra, País Vasco and Tarragona, as well as of the Registro Español de Tumores Infantiles (RNTI-SEHOP). Set up at the end of 2010 with the main goal of providing incidence, survival and prevalence cancer data to Spanish health authorities and to the scientific community, REDECAN has created a joint database to ensure updated high quality data. Actually, it is one of the major health information systems on cancer in Spain.
